The Blog Fog
Has your blog been rusting away in some corner of the web space just because you’re suffering from a newly coined term ‘The Blogger’s Block’? Don’t let it drag you off to a long-term sabbatical. It’s high time you rescue that blog of yours before it bites the dust.
Be a Social Butterfly:Yes, this one’s a part of the process. Be colourful. Chance upon and meet new people. Go pick up a controversial debate with some stranger. Try hitch-hiking around the country. Explore places you haven’t ventured before. Works wonders for your mind frame. The idea is to reignite the passion in you.
Let your mind loose:Sniff around for the strangest of ideas, issues and affairs that provoke your mind. Let yourself be stimulated by these thoughts and consequently render these thoughts to words. Make sure you’re relaxed and not worked up as that reflects in your work. It’s alright if your ideas aren’t revolutionary, relax!
Stop procrastinating:First and fore most you need a good head start. A little push. Ask someone to help you arrange for a sensible place to write and get rid of all possible distractions. They could keep a watch on you until you regain your flow.
Make some noise:Try a different approach to your blog. Spark off an intriguing topic. Irk your reader’s mind with extreme or abstract notions. If you are not already interacting with your users why don’t you initiate activities that will keep your blog alive. This will buy you some time and maybe some followers, too. A simple example of this would be an interesting poll. You could borrow stuff too. No, I’m not encouraging plagiarism in any possible way. If something catches your eye, share it with your readers and provide a link to the source.
Once you keep your blog in its perspective, your senses and wit will come rushing back with force. But in the end passion alone will pave your way to a thriving and successful blog.
