Want to get your readers hooked? Start with a strong opening statement. It is common knowledge that the opening paragraph is one of the most important aspects of a good article. It has to be something that a reader cannot ignore. Basically, a good opening statement is something that a good blog content writer cannot ignore.
Apart from the title, the part of your article or blog that will stand out the most is the opening paragraph. If you want to get the reader hooked on to the blog, it has to be a statement that they cannot afford to ignore.
Many famous and successful copywriters of the past often pored over the beginning of their sales pieces for days. These first fifty words or so can make or break an article. While a quote from a notable person can hold the reader’s interest, and anecdote is a story in itself, and can establish the point of you article in the beginning itself. People love interesting facts, so yet another great way to start off would be to provide a pertinent statistic. Of course, a metaphor or simile can tell a story in just a few words. They are extremely powerful tools and can capture a reader’s attention in an instant.
One more thing you must not forget is that a good closing is also highly necessary. An ideal way to close an article would be to go back to the beginning. With all these tips, bloggers should easily be able to write a fairly interesting article, if not a great one that generates tons of hits!
