Gone in 15 minutes – a guide to writing speedy articles

If you are a relatively new blog writer, it probably takes you a while to come up with some good content to write about. But hey, maybe it’s time to speed things up. But how? It’s quite easy actually. All you need is a couple of easy tricks and tips to do the job.

•    Firstly, do not keep on writing as if there’s no tomorrow. People will get bored of articles that are too long. Also, if you keep your articles at around 500-600 words, not only will it be easy for people to digest what they’ve read, but it’ll take you less time to write as well.
•    Start with a list of what you want to write about. Doing it in point format may help a little
•    Do not spend too much time thinking about one idea. See what strikes your fancy, and what you can write on easily.
•    Set a deadline for yourself. This will only work if you are really serious about writing, or else, you’ll only end up procrastinating.
•    There will come a time when writer’s block will creep up on any blog writer, and for that, you have to devise your own mechanisms and deal with it, because it can be overcome. Take a shower; go for a drive, ride or even a walk. Anything that can make you feel a little more at ease.
•    If you are seriously stuck, don’t give up completely; just take a short break, or even a long one if you want.
•    If you want to make a point, become a politician. When you are new to this, there will be several things you want to say, but much of it may not ever surface in an article. You have to sometimes give up a point for the sake of a darned good article.

So there you have it; a few tips on blog writing. Maybe this will work, or maybe it won’t. But it certainly does not hurt to try, does it? So go on, try it out, and if it works, you will be on your way to being a successful blog writer.
