The Anti ‘Ctrl +C and Ctrl +V’ Approach

Online writers’ are on a constant typing spree. Churning blogs, reviews and other forms of content that encapsulate various aspects in the internet world, an online writer’s hand never seem to stop. But, hey, do your fingers happen to consistently get magnetized toward the Ctrl +C and Ctrl +V keys on your keyboard? If yes, Congratulations! You are suffering from the ‘Copy Paste’ Syndrome!

The Copy Paste Syndrome is supposedly a dreadful disease that should be preferably avoided but is ritualistically followed when it comes to online writing. As we writers have to digest an array of subject matter in our minds, there is an irrepressible addiction to hit these buttons that can be referred to as ‘rapid saviors’. This facilitates an instant replica of the information we require. And at times of crisis, righteousness often takes a flight. Seldom do we realize that it is considered plagiarism and a breach of copyrights in doing so. Forgery of information or content is considered a despicable act and a writer should be the last individual to indulge in it!
Online content writing and copywriting does involve a vast scope of matter and information to deal with. Researching becomes an inevitable option but stealing another entity’s legal information is not considered favorable. You must master the art of transforming the knowledge gained into your own marvel. Getting your fingers glued to the Ctrl+ C and Ctrl+ V keys would eventually backfire in the future.

Hence, if you are a true writer by heart, be original. Being original requires undying dedication and patience, but eventually is a stepping stone to success. With plagiarism, the road to fame is sweet and fast but short lived and unjust!

Let’s respect individualism. Lets join the “anti Ctrl+ C and Ctrl+ V” movement!

Indeed it is too easy to be tempted to borrow someone else’s words when we run out of our own supply. Dead end—empty as in a total blackout. And the our own moods is not helping us enough to be revived from the eerie feeling of emptiness. So we go shopping into the vast borders of someone else’s territory and bingo! we thought we were saved. Only to realize that it is just a temporary escape- for once we get to review the work we have done- it is like looking into the face of a total stranger in your own mirror. You will not recognize even your own penmanship in the finished article that you have made….. Loses your own touch and brand. It became a secondrate impersonation of the real brand that the real YOU can imbibe.
