Google Achieves Another Success, Leads Mobile Search

As per the latest statistics from Nielsen Mobile, Google’s supremacy in the desktop search is nicely transforming to cell phones. Rather interestingly, it has managed to achieve an almost complete sameness.

For a while, the mobile market looked pretty wide, with world famous domains such as Google, Yahoo, as well as AOL appearing to have more or less identical changes of success. However, unfortunately for Yahoo and AOL, Google ate up majority of the market share pie with 61 percent during the initial three months of this year.

Yahoo was second by a huge difference and settled with 18 percent, while MSN snagged just 5 percent. If you compare this Nielsen Mobile data with the most recent report from Nielsen Online, you will find that the same companies scored 62%, 17.5% and 9.7% respectively.

Not surprisingly, Google’s place on large computers appears to be strongly cemented, although, it is still possible that it’ll fall behind with the mobile users. According to Nielsen Mobile, 44 percent of Google users rate their satisfaction with mobile Internet search from eight to ten on a 10-point scale, compared to 40 percent of its archrival Yahoo! searchers.

Hence, it can be understood that a whole lot of online users are still waiting earnestly for a mobile search engine that scores an eight or more as far as the satisfaction parameter is concerned.
