Microsoft Ties up with YuMe to Compliment It’s Video Advertising Services

The world leader in software Microsoft Corp. has selected YuMe, the largest online video advertising network, to compliment video ad network management and ad sales for excess video advertising inventory on its properties.

The deal is scheduled to commence this summer and YuMe will supply video advertising network management capabilities and sales for inventory which is unsold on Microsoft’s online properties.

Rob Bennett, General Manager of MSN Entertainment, Video & Sports, Microsoft, said that the company will further maximize the value of its unsold video inventory with the help of YuMe’s robust platform designed for video advertising network management. Furthermore, he said that YuMe presents the ability to connect ad networks to its platform additionally, and that the company plans to utilize the service to enable access to YuMe and other ad networks to Microsoft’s unsold video inventory.

YuMe indeed will have an important role to play. It will monetize Microsoft’s video advertising inventory by selling the software firm’s excess video ad inventory as part of YuMe’s growing network of channels, which includes News, Entertainment, Sports, etc., and allowing advertisers to make the purchases by audience and content type.
