Vote for useful web pages through Sproose search and shoot up their ranking

Sproose is a search engine that allows you to vote for the web pages that you like, and enhances their ranking in the internet search engines. It helps discover interesting web pages in social network environment.

Sproose improves search results with the contribution from users. Bob Pack, CEO at Sproose explains that it licences search results from Yahoo, Ask and MSN and builds quality index by de-duplicating those results and adding results from its ‘Nutch’ crawler. He explains that Sproose enables user to vote and improve ranking. For example, on Google, a search for music lists Yahoo on top because of most in-bound links. On Sproose, Pandora ranks number one because its users vote it as number one.

This week, Sproose will launch applications for Facebook and Twitter that would allow you to benefit from the collective knowledge of your network of friends. Moreover, The Sproose homepage will be re-designed as well.

In July, Sproose will launch “AnswerMe” search-app for the users of Facebook and Twitter. According to Bob Pack, a new application is developed with the realisation of social networking’s important role in Internet search. He explains that a user, while typing a search query into Sproose, will be simultaneously able to send that query to some or all the contacts in their address book at the click of a button next to the search box.

Sproose home page will wear a totally new look. Its start page will have three tabs and list of popular searches for quick navigation.
