Are you using keywords properly?

Who said that keywords always work? Sometimes, keywords can get you a whole lot of traffic, but they can also backfire, getting you almost no traffic at all. But the worst-case scenario is when you are getting plenty of visitors, but no end results.

A lot of times, people end up searching for the wrong keywords. For instance, if you were looking for a good time in Bangkok, and entered the keywords ‘fun’ and ‘Bangkok’, you might just end up going to an X-rated site! Well, this is just one example off the top of my head, but there are several others which could occur.

When you optimise a site, you have to be sure to do it for both parties; namely search engines, as well as readers. Most people buy with their hearts and minds, usually putting their hearts first. Of course, there has to be a logical explanation for them buying stuff, but ultimately, it is the heart that drives them to make a purchase.

If you really want to appeal to prospective customers, you must cater to their needs. If they are searching for something in particular, you need to give them exactly what they want. As an SEO writer, you need to think like them.

The first step to successfully gaining a consumer’s attention is to create more landing pages, each being specific to what the consumers want. This way, you will be handing it to them on a silver platter. You will be allowing them to choose what they want, and not thrusting options into their faces.

A lot of online copywriters make the common mistake of giving away too much information. Instead of informing people the services they can avail while on a holiday, why not try describing the fun and relaxing time they can spend while on vacation?
Something like this makes all the difference.

To find a way into readers’ hearts (and ultimately their wallets), one has to be empathetic towards their wants. Try the above tips; they will probably help.
