How to go about being a good SEO content writer
Writing SEO is not the same thing as the usual writing one does, like story writing, script writing or news writing. It all depends on whether you have the acumen for it. SEO writing is all about making your way around certain guidelines, and if these are not followed, there is no point in writing at all. Most regular writers will not take to SEO very well, as it can get very technical and a little restricted. SEO writing always has a purpose to sell a product service or propagate some kind of idea.
There is also a lot of research involved in writing SEO. You will have to find the right keywords using tools like Google Adwords. These keywords and phrases will have to be inserted strategically into the content in order for your blog or website to be noticed by Google. Once you have the right keywords, you need to be sure to insert them in the right places. Do not go around pasting them randomly as some idiots do, as this will only make you and you website or blog look stupid. They need to be intelligently inserted, and need to blend in with the rest of the content you will be writing around those keywords.
The best way to go about doing search engine optimisation writing is to write down the entire article first. The article should also preferably be between 300 and 500 words long. Only after you are done with writing, should you go about inserting the SEO keywords. Of course, you will have to rewrite some of the content you’ve already written, but that is part of the whole process.
Last, but not least, make sure you go over your article at least a few times to make sure that there are no errors of any sort. Your website or blog may rank high with search engines, but visitors will definitely be put off with discrepancies. Also make sure that the entire article flows well and doesn’t sound disjointed when you read it.
