Begin…
The infamous ‘lag’ phase has many writers falling prey to it. So how do you beat the mental stagnancy?
As they say – everything has a beginning; so does writing. Legendary writers wouldn’t have carved their names into the history books if they chose to slug it out and pay no heed to the skill of writing that was hidden within. Now the next question that inevitably pops into your head is “How can it be done?”
The very thought of lengthy articles are always too much for the mind to consume. So let’s cut it short. Why not kick-start with writing headlines or titles? Let them be generic. Churn out the best that your creative mind has to offer. They truly initiate great momentum for imagination. Remember the simple, yet, phenomenal line – “To be or not to be” by William Shakespeare?
Most of you may strongly believe that great writers only churn out quality. Let me spare you the suspense as that is a pure misconception. An abstract form of writing opens doors to a different realm of creativity. A writers mind expands with the dense exposure given. This is one pill to pop when your creativity is burning up.
The brain-freeze that enters every mind can only be countered with a religiously-followed schedule for writing. So what if you couldn’t pen down a word at 8am today. Try it the same time the next day and watch what happens. I can bet you history won’t repeat itself. This is solely because creativity is never at a constant halt. A pepped up confident spirited-mind encourages the potential for creativity.
Dig through the dust and mud and get back to an old article you penned down ages ago. Now try editing and refining it. Don’t tell me you couldn’t rephrase a single sentence in that write-up, because my brain cannot (and will not) fathom that.
Frequency in writing only leads to quality.
This is where I bring an end to my keyboard-torturing act and where you get yourself to pick up the pen or open a new word document and begin.
